Who is responsible
Byki is a brand of Be-IT Consulting AB (reg. no. 556885-6461), the data controller. Send questions about your data toprivacy@byki.ai.
When you use the contact form
We receive what you enter in the form: name, email address, company if you give one, and your message.
We use it to reply to you and to see whether we can help. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and — if you want us to do something for you — taking steps before entering into a contract. We send no newsletters and do not use the data for marketing.
The form stores nothing on the website. Your message is sent as an email to our inbox, which is where it is kept.
How long we keep it
If the contact does not lead to an assignment, we delete your contact details and message no later than365 days after you wrote to us.
If it does lead to an assignment, we keep what the assignment needs while it lasts. Accounting records, such as invoices, are kept for as long as Swedish accounting law requires.
Who handles the data
We never sell data. These providers handle it on our behalf:
- Brevo (France) delivers the form's email to us.
- Oderland Webbhotell (Sweden) hosts our email, where the message is kept.
- Strato (Germany) hosts the server the website runs on.
- OVHcloud (France) stores encrypted backups of the server, including the logs.
- Cookiebot (Usercentrics, Denmark) shows the consent banner and stores your choice.
- Google (Ireland) provides Google Tag Manager and, if you consent, Google Analytics. Google may transfer data to the US. Google is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies and visitor statistics
The first time you visit, you choose which cookies to accept. Without your consent, only the cookie that stores that choice is set, and no statistics are collected.
To show the consent banner, Google Tag Manager is loaded from Google on every page. It sets no cookies, but Google sees your IP address in the request.
- Necessary: Cookiebot stores your consent choice in a cookie for up to twelve months.
- Statistics (only with consent): Google Analytics shows us how the website is used — which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from and what kind of device they use. We never see who you are, and we do not use the data for advertising. Statistics are kept for at most 14 months.
The legal basis for statistics is your consent. You can change or withdraw it at any time:
Server logs
Like any web server, ours logs each request, including IP address, time and the page requested. The log is used for operations and security and is deleted after at most 90 days. To stop abuse of the form, the server also keeps your IP address in memory for at most 2 days; it is never written to disk.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- know what data we hold about you and get a copy of it,
- have incorrect data corrected,
- have your data erased,
- object to our processing, or ask us to restrict it,
- withdraw your consent to statistics at any time.
Write to privacy@byki.ai and we will reply within one month. If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), but please contact us first.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of the page.
